XLIV Super Bowl events..South Beach gets ready to party...

South Beach is getting ready for all the parties surrounding the XLIV Super Bowl. Madness is all around town and you can see trucks unloading stuff all day long ... and nights too. As a local I wanted to snap some pictures for my followers to see what is going on down here...I hope you enjoy them!!!

Champions Arch by Gerdau Ameristeel.
Located in famed Ocean Drive the arch was created from recycled steel from the Orange Bowl and Sun Life Stadium in tribute to the region's rich tradition of hosting Super Bowls. The tribute includes smaller sculptures inspired by past Super Bowl champions and this year's team.

The Champion's Arch stands 23 ft. high on Ocean Drive and 9th street. The 12 ft steel football illuminates in various NFL team colors by LED lights.

Detail of one of the Arch's leg showing the dates the Super Bowls were played in South Florida, this year marks the number 10th.

Of all the hundreds of towns I've traveled to in my life, I can't think of a more fun town than South Beach.

Truly.
